网页2017年7月28日 — The one in my previous post was too high to work on my lathe. This one is made from 1/2" square by 3" long steel bar. The portion that fits in the tool holder is angle 12* top and bottom for a better fit in the tool holder. The slot for the tool bit is angled 12*. I also angled the side by the tool bit for better clearance when facing.

网页2021年3月19日 — QCTP come in different sizes to fit different size lathes. OXA to CXA and probably larger. Your lathe would use either a OXA or a AXA. A QCTP sized to fit a 12" lathe will be too tall to work on your 618. I made a norman style QCTP and all of the tool holders for my lathe for a fraction of the cost. Only need a lathe and a drill to make one.
