My family and I have fished in this small lake before a few times and caught mostly bream and a few small bass and the occasional turtle of course. I honestly don't know if they have catfish or not. I am guessing that they might because there used to be a fish hatchery next to the park, and they use to have catfish in the old fish hatchery years ago. We have younger / smaller children so we fished from the fishing dock and the banks near the fishing dock area. We did not go out in a boat. I would ask the rangers to clarify or confirm about catfish in the lake. Watch out for the alligators !! There are plenty of those around this lake and the springs.
