When we went to temp was mid 30's, it was just too hot to stay there long. There is lots to walk around and see and information boards located around the site. Nice cafe and shop on site. Goolia2772的完整评论

Old ancient palace. Ruins. Have to imagine. Nice surrounding view. 45 min to visit. One part (down) was not open but could see from above 610aurelienh的完整评论

Hi. We will be staying in Herakleon. So how far is Phaistos from there? Is there transportation to and from? or if a car rental is easier, is it possible to rent for a day? any recommendations. Sorry for the many questions, I am trying to plan my time there. Thank you

There is a Public Bus stop right outside of the entrance to Phaistos. Probably at least one hour by car from Heraklion. If you do travel by car - go to the nearby Roman site of Agia …

Best you book an excursion if you don't have your own transport. From Heraklion it is about ons hour drive. There is a café and toilets.
