A new game show looking for the Ultimate “Friends” Fan is coming to Max in honor of the 30th anniversary of the beloved NBC sitcom.

The series is similar to the trivia contest Max announced in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Harry Potter movies a few years ago. Friends celebrated its 30th anniversary on September 22, 2024 — with the show being remastered in 4K as part of the celebrations.

"Fast Friends" will test competitors' knowledge of the iconic sitcom on recreations of classic sets from the show.

That series, titled “Fast Friends,” is billed as a “fan challenge” that is being filmed in October at The Friends Experience: The One in New York City — the Manhattan attraction (130 E. 23rd St.) that features sets, costumes and props from the original show.

Max is rolling out an expansive global campaign to honor Friends‘ 30th anniversary, featuring fan-favorite episodes, featurettes, in-app surprises and more. As part of the anniversary celebration, Max viewers will see updated 30th anniversary key art throughout the app and a new design for the Friends collection page.
