SAG-AFTRA is looking to represent intimacy coordinators, as the union has been on the forefront of the profession's industry regulation

The union said on Wednesday that it had filed a petition for a representation election with the National Labor Relations Board.

SAG-AFTRA filed a petition with the National Labor Relations Board to represent intimacy coordinators in bargaining with the studios.

"Working in scenes involving nudity or physical intimacy is some of the most vulnerable work an actor can do. Intimacy coordinators not only provide assistance in navigating these scenes, but they also create a safety net for performers ensuring consent and protection throughout the entire process,

SAG-AFTRA said it has filed an election petition to represent intimacy coordinators employed by companies in the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers.
