When you click Done, the background image will be removed and made transparent – and you will be able to cut the part out of the picture. From here, it will depend on what you plan to do next.

A Picture Format dialog box will appear. On the Picture tab, under Transparency, drag the Transparency slider or click the spin button to increase and decrease the transparency. Then click OK.
