Wisconsin authorities say a man who faked his own death over the summer, abandoning his wife and children, is alive in Eastern Europe.

The Green Lake County Sheriff’s Office said Thursday that law enforcement are in contact with the man believed to have faked his own death and left the country. The man also told authorities how he did it.
