London's Metropolitan Police confirmed Wednesday that it had opened a new investigation into sexual assault claims against the late Harrods owner Mohamed Al-Fayed, which has so far identified 90 victims.

London’s Metropolitan police have opened an investigation into associates of Mohamed Al Fayed who “may have assisted or facilitated” the late billionaire owner of Harrods in alleged rapes and sexual assaults.

At least 90 more people have come forward with sexual abuse allegations against Al Fayed after the BBC aired a documentary where 21 former Harrods accused the late billionaire of sexual assault and rape.

A BBC documentary revealed that the Egyptian billionaire had sexually abused his female staff, forcing the women to undergo medical examinations and threatening them with consequences if they tried to complain.
