Nanoviricides are composed of micelles with up to 1,200 chemically attached ligands on their surface. These ligands mimic the cellular receptors targeted by the relevant virus or class of virus.
These include aster-like micelles and a novel phase termed active foam. The basic building blocks of this foam are microtubule bilayers in which the filaments point in opposite directions.
