PS5 Pro 30th Anniversary Edition buyers are reporting that their orders for the console are being canceled with no hope of resolution.

Mashable reached out to Sony to find out whether the company expects the PS5 Pro to sell out quickly at launch since initial availability is limited to one retailer, and if it had any plans to avoid inventory shortages. At the time of writing, we hadn't heard back.

The rare PS5 Pro 30th Anniversary edition went fast, but preorders for the regular PS5 Pro are still available on Sony's website.

Preorders for the base PS5 Pro, alongside all 30th anniversary products, are live now at PlayStation Direct. If the old-school PlayStation and its iconic gray color is dear to your heart, you'll soon be able to relive those totally sweet 1990s memories.

On September 10, after months and months of rumors, Sony officially unveiled the PS5 Pro. The console costs $700 and will offer developers more power and, in theory, let players enjoy more games at higher framerates without having to sacrifice resolution or extra details.
