It was the 150th anniversary of the signing of Treaty 4 – an occasion that saw hundreds gather in Fort Qu'Appelle.

One of many events planned this week to commemorate 150 years since its signing, the Treaty 4 Chief Council and the 36 Treaty 4 chiefs in southern Saskatchewan and Manitoba gathered in Fort Qu’Appelle on Sunday.

A week of activities starting Monday in Fort Qu'Appelle, Sask., about 65 kilometres northeast of Regina, will mark the 150th anniversary of the signing of Treaty 4.
