There was a large police presence on the city’s North Side on Wednesday night after a person was shot near the Lincoln Park Zoo. According to Chicago Fire officials, one person was injured in a shooting that unfolded near North Clark Street and West Fullerton Avenue,

A man was shot and critically wounded in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood on Wednesday, according to police.

According to the Chicago Fire Department, a man, 40 sustained two gunshot wounds while on Clark Street, just north of Fullerton Avenue. He was transported to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center and was initially listed in critical condition.

The shooting happened on busy Clark Street just north of Fullerton Parkway. Kris Habermehl reports from CBS Skywatch.
