With a record 9,000 entries competing this year, the Nikon Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards has reached its conclusion — and these are the winners for 2024.

Nikon Comedy Wildlife Awards, a free competition for photographers of all levels that celebrates the spontaneous hilarity seen in the animal kingdom, revealed this year’s winners.

That’s right: The Nikon Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards just announced its annual selection of winning and highly commended photographs. The images span the animal kingdom, from armored mantises to furry felines, but all do something to capture the humorous in what can be a quite uncaring world.

The overall and individual category winners of this year's Comedy Wildlife Photography Award have just been announced and you can see them in person this week.

There were special mentions for the younger generation of emerging photographers including the winning shot of a frog that won the Nikon Young Photographer Award (for those under 25), with a close up of a frog smiling at the camera. Kingston Tam from Australia received a Z8 + 24-120mm kit from Nikon for their entry.
