Hundreds of firefighters are battling a bushfire north of Perth which is threatening multiple communities.The fire is moving in a northerly direction towards the coastal fishing towns of Cervantes, Wedge and Grey.

An emergency warning is still in place for a blaze threatening the town of Cervantes, 200 kilometres north of Perth, with strong winds and high temperatures expected to test fire crews today.
