Social media groups were on high alert following allegations a man had chased students and was attempting to lure them into his car near Trinity Anglican School’s Kewarra Beach Campus.

However, Archbishop Thabo Makgoba, head of the Anglican Church of Southern Africa said there was no evidence of abuse by John Smyth while he was in Cape Town and, therefore, no need for an inquiry.
