A warthog escaped from its enclosure at the Jacksonville Zoo & Gardens in Florida and was recovered with help from a sheriff's office drone operator.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office shared a video Monday of how it helped to locate a missing warthog at the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens on Friday.

A warthog broke loose Friday, causing the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens to close its doors early as a safety measure.

Mateo the warthog is one of the residents at Florida's Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens. He took an unexpected journey out of his enclosure, causing zoo officials to call for help. The responding officer knew using human eyes to search for Mateo wasn't going to work in the thick vegetation around the Zoo grounds.
