Denny Hamlin, who has won the past two Bristol Cup races, enters Saturday night's race six points below the cutline.

NASCAR has trimmed the playoffs to the Round of 12 following a dominant Bristol race by Kyle Larson. Larson led 462 laps to collect win No. 5 of the 2024 season Saturday night in the Bass Pro Shops Night Race. It helped him advance to the next portion of the NASCAR Cup Series playoffs.

NASCAR champions Brad Keselowski and Martin Truex Jr. were among the first four drivers knocked out of the playoffs at Bristol Motor Speedway, where Kyle Larson cruised to an easy victory.
