2021年1月27日 — Cat 6A is my vote. It's not nearly as expensive as Cat 8, but can still handle 10Gb for 100m. Cat6 will be more than enough, even cat5 will do gigabit. CAT6a will be fine, don't use CAT7 or CAT8 as those are vaporware! Cat6 will be more than enough. Cat7 and above are meant for large scale businesses and data centres.

Cat7 isn't recognized as Ethernet cable at all, and the speeds that need Cat8 can be handled much better with fiber. In short, if you're trying to futureproof for 10 gigabit, use Cat6 as long as everything will be under 55 meters.
