2024年6月8日 — "DayZ" truly shine as a survival game with - at the very least - vanilla minus setup - or better hardcore, with 30 npcs in every town (any more and animations/sounds getting glitched). It's only normal that majority gets attention even when there are also a lot of people into hardcore - but we have mods to cater that need.

ok so I would like to increase the number of zombies that are on my server and ive seen a couple of videos showing 2 ways but then i see in the comments that it dont work. the 2 ways are in the globals.xml and adjust "max zombie count" the other way is in the "env" folder and then go territories and adjust the smax and dmax. does someone know which is best way or if any of these actually work?

Infected spawn zones are defined in env/zombie_territories.xml, where each spawn zone is described by x/y/z coordinates and radius, along with min/max number of static/dynamic zeds in that zone. Dynamic infected start spawning when a player comes within ZonesSpawnDist (defined in globals.xml) meters from the spawn zone.
