2017年4月16日 — I just happened to start a trip to the seagull nebula the other night, and was planning to stop at the California nebula on the way, to see one of those new asteroid stations. Good timing...guess i won't be making that detour now. Amazing screen. Helps that I was listening to this when I clicked.

2023年11月26日 — IC 2177 also known as the Seagull Nebula is an emission nebula located in the constellation Monoceros. This nebula is around 1,500 light-years away from Earth and has an area of about 100 light-years across. The shape of the nebula resemble a seagull, but I kind of sea more of a Cockatoo in this close up, especially the head.
