2018年1月11日 · As for yeast, there’s many ways to go. Champagne, white wine, ale. A good place to start could be DV10 or W15. Those work well with cider. Ferment in the midn50s to low 60s. Add yeast nutrients at the first sign of fermentation and also about half way thru.

2023年2月5日 · We are a small craft cidery based in BC , Canada. Looking for some timely advice on carbonation of our cider. We have 2 x 2000 Liter brite tanks. Glycol cooled to 3 Degrees Celsius. We have 20 Percent head space on each tank and they have been on 10 PSI of C02 for a few days. We are not seeing the carb levels we expected.

Off the cuff, I can suggest two things, sugar and water. 1) white table sugar can cause a cidery flavor (if you're using it) 2) Blonde beer is very difficult, as the water properties can be more noticable.

2024年4月3日 · This round seems to be giving us some difficulty while dispensing from the keg. The bartenders say its super foamy and un-servable. The owner thinks that it may have continued to ferment in the keg. Kegs have been stored in walk in cooler at 35 degrees the whole time. Yeast was dumped before adding any extra flavoring.

05-04-2013, 03:33 PM. Scottish Lager. I was doing a pilot batch of an 80 pence Scottish, and accidentally mixed a lager pack of yeast in with my other Scottish Ale. At the ale fermentation temps, the lager strain really kicked in, even though it was out matched 3 to 1.

2018年11月27日 · Hello, Not sure if this is right place for this question. If I am planning to bath pasteurize in bottles my semi sweet cider. Would it be necessary to also add potassium sorbate when blending before bottliing? Just curious what other people think. thanks, Marcus
