Is it worthwhile using a clear ceramic tint on the windshield?
2012年5月28日 · The main reason is to avoid the hassle of risk ruining the tint each year when I have to get the inspection sticker replaced. Another reason is that the cost is near $200. (which is almost half of what I paid for tinting), and I do not think saving 1-2 mpg in a/c would be worth it (esp. considering, those majority-to-most may be ev miles).

2019年2月26日 · Yep paid around $650 for ceramic that included removing the bs legal light tint the dealer throws on the truck for the lot. Windshield done in 70% for the uv protection and help with headlight glare. 15% up front and a light I think 30% in the back to match the fronts. Worth every penny keeps the heat down. 2020年7月21日 · I am very familiar with putting 70% ceramic tint on the front windshield. It works very well and you won't know its there, except with polarized sunglasses or HUD perhaps. Didn't realize it was 70% tint. The product is called Clear Window Tint. But nonetheless, if it doesn't darken the glass, it's a moot point.

Extreme caution is needed when tinting the windshields on these trucks. Excess water runoff can go behind the dash and damage the BCM.
