Sig MCX Spear LT suppressor compatible handguard questions
2024年1月22日 · Here is a picture of my spear lt 9” 300 blackout with the sig MCX SD 12” hand guard and Q half Nelson direct thread suppressor. The sd hand guard does not come with the retention screws that the oem spear comes with. I added the Arisaka zero retention setup as shown in the picture and it holds zero and doesn’t move in any way whatsoever.
Iron Sights for Sig MCX Spear
2023年8月5日 · I know from a visit to the Sig Sauer website that they offer iron sights for the MCX, but I just wanted to get the opinion of the experts on this site and figure out which iron sights are the best for this firearm. Ideally I would like the iron sights to be luminous and visible at night since I might keep the Spear as a home defense firearm.

2023年11月8日 · Geissele website says to use the MCX SSA in the MCX to avoid voiding the warranty but I have heard numerous times the Spear LT can accept regular AR15 triggers. Biggest diff from the photos is their MCX SSA has this bracket surrounding the trigger piece. If the AR15 version works with the Spear Lt why are they selling a MCX specific kit?

I can tell you it is hands down among the best piston AR-style rifles available, if not the best on the market right now. SAS, SOCOM, and so many other SOF are adopting it right now, that shows it's an awesome piece.

2023年6月29日 · Welcome from Missouri! It's very possible. Sig sells a kit here: MCX-SPEAR LT 16" AR CONVERSION KIT 5.56 NATO-BLACK (sigsauer.com) There is also one for 7.62x39 and 300BLK. The challenge for you if you have access to just the upper will be sourcing a "receiver extension delete" as they call it by itself.

2023年10月28日 · Something must be different with the 3rd gen MCX Spear LT or the 11.5" barrel. The Clutch-Lok Flash Hider that comes with it has an extended part behind the threads so the taper goes way behind. I suspect earlier MCX's may have different flash hider designs, hence the taper ring being able to cover up the shiny portion.

2023年11月17日 · Even SIG's M400 Tread 2-stage (the one they include on the Spear LT full pistol/rifles and Duo trigger) has a thicker/wider hammer. And if you run a non-MCX Geissele on a MCX they won't cover it under warranty. Whether it is a CYA thing or not is beyond me. I just decided to go with the Super MCX SSA on both MCX Spear LTs to be on the safe side.
