2015年9月22日 · Most supply companies, in my area, won't sell LP equipment to the general public. Tell your plumber to get a twin stage regulator with a pigtail. He can either hard pipe it with 1/2" black iron, as that's what he wants to stub outside with, or, connect the regulator with a short piece of copper tube. Don't use a BBQ type regulator.

2017年11月24日 · 100 pound tank will get you about 36 hours. A 20/30 pound tank will freeze up with any kind of demand worth running the 10kw generator for. 100 pounders will also freeze up, BT/DT. One solution is to put the propane tank about 16 inches in front of the exhaust, which is what I did for weeks on end. The exhaust warms the tank.

2007年10月3日 · The typical smaller (100 lb) single and twin tanks setups typically have a dual stage regulator on the tank, and feed 1/2 psi gas. They're suited for lower flow, i.e. stoves or DHW but not whole house heating. Note that this is still a dual stage regulator in a single package, not a single stage regulator like the typical cheap grill regulator.

The typical system is a high pressure (10 psi) regulator right on the tank, piping from that to a low pressure regulator near the appliance but still outside the house, which feeds the appliance(s).

Note, I'm saying the system has a large 300 gallon tank and I have a few 100 lb propane tanks as well. I believe the fittings on the 300 gallon tank are different than the fittings on the 100lb tanks.

2013年12月18日 · Got rid of the 100gal tank outside and went to 2 x 100lb tanks. They have (apparently) a 'POL' valve (not the newer Overflow protection valve types on the 20lb grill type tanks). Hooked up fine where the 100gal tank used to be....to the 'pigtail' going to the regulator.
