With stock heads, 2Bbl carb and even 2.76 gears this is already a 'fun-package'. Even with 4.11 gears (and street tires), the FIRST 5 feet that the car travels is the most critical.

2021年10月11日 · 318 tbi upgrades. Hey everyone, i have a 1991 Dodge D150 with the 318 TBI. I was curious to know what upgrades can be done to the truck to increase horsepower and torque. So far the only thing ive done is added an MSD coil and wires to the truck when i tuned it up. Im planning on adding headers and a dual exhaust to open up the breathing a bit.

2013年10月19日 · The 318 is rated 2MPG less overall than the 3.9. The 318 and the 3.9 are the same engine, other than the number of cylinders - same distributor design, same timing chain. I'm not sure which transmission you'll find behind the 318. At first there was the A500 (904 based) and A518 (727 based).

The 318 was replaced by the new crate motor from Direct Connection. Rumored horsepower was a manageable 350 net with about 425 foot pounds of torque. Top speed was in the neighborhood of 145 with these cars. The chassis and brakes were changed. The units are still being used sparingly for special cases.

1 post · Joined 2016. #1 · Feb 5, 2016. I would like to mate a modern automatic transmission such as the 545RFE, 45RFE, or W5A580/NAG1 to a 1970 small block 318 from a Duster. I know PCS makes standalone controllers and harnesses for the NAG1 and 545RFE, but I am not sure what would be necessary to get this to work if it's even possible.

2016年5月1日 · Switching a 88 tbi 318 over to a carb need part advice. Recently got my hands on a decent looking 88 w250. Truck was running pretty bad but a quick check found a bad timing chain. Easy fix. However, more detailed work found a hacked and screwed tbi system. At this point its just not worth fixing the tbi.

Add a new high energy coil to take advantage of the new system. Present: 68 Cuda, 318/02 Grand Caravan, 3.3/09 Wrangler, 3.8/07 Sebring, 2.4/16 Cherokee 3.2.
