Originally published in 2016 and refreshed in 2017, the Framework classifies Alternative Payment Models (APMs) in four categories and eight subcategories, specifying decision rules to standardize classification efforts.
The aim of the Work Group is to create a clear and understandable APM Framework, to provide a deeper understanding of payment models and how those models can enhance health and health care, and to provide examples of how public and private payment models are organized within the APM Framework.
