One of my own daughters always calls me pop. The other one calls me dad. I have grandkids who live in Arkansas and they call their maternal grandfather "poppo."

"The Missus" does harken back to a time when a wife and husband were addressed by the same name (the man's originally) as in "Mister and Missus Warren Smith".

However, neither imperative form necessarily carries an imperative meaning. In neither case is the speaker demanding to be given a child.
