2020年5月24日 · I honestly think height speakers work better than the upfiring Atmos speakers. Plus height speakers like the NHT Superzero have two drivers whereas the Atmos speakers use a single driver configuration. Mount the Superzero high on the wall if you can instead and aim it at the main listening position. Cost is slightly less too.

2019年7月21日 · While I did like having the Studio 20's in custom made metal mounts in my previous home, I'm back to wondering whether I should instead get in-ceiling speakers for the Atmos speakers. In-ceiling does provide a cleaner look, but more importantly, less chance of people hitting their head on the box speakers (basement has a lower ceiling).

I prefer on-ceiling atmos speakers over in-ceiling to help with sound control to the floor above. I'm currently using 8 Polk OWM5s for my atmos speakers. They are very flexible for mounting, decent sounding and reasonably priced.

2020年10月21日 · IMO it would be the better choice. You don't get much from upward firing speakers on a soundbar anyways. The vast majority of the sounds come from the soundbar directed at you so chasing atmos here you'll sacrifice what matters more. And using upward firing speakers of any kind are very room dependent.
