2017年12月11日 · Slip 2000 Carbon Killer and Bore Tech Cu+2 leave a bore spotless if that's what you want without the risk of f-ing it all up. And they do it fast. It take 3-4 patches wet with CK, ten passes with brush soaked in CK, 3-5 more patches with CK. Same routine with Cu+2 except use a nylon brush.

Most of the carbon will settle to the bottom and you'll be able to use most of the it again. It's going to take more than one try, and CLR aint terribly cheap. Run water down it and shake it out.

2011年5月15日 · CLR will not have any adverse affect on 416 stainless. I've left barrel cutoffs, partially submerged in 100% solution for weeks. There was no visible difference between what was submerged and what was not. Just patch it out, brush with your typically bore cleaner, and resume like you would normally do.

Poured out all the CLR and found about 1/16 or slightly more carbon in the bottom of the jar. Refilled the jar with CLR and soaked for another 23 hours and no more bubbles.

Saw a version of this done somewhere, 50-50 mix CLR with water, Shake for two hours, Scrub with fine brass wire brush. Rinse thoroughly with clean water. Dry and wipe with WD-40.

I then dump and flush with water and tap it against something firm, but non-damaging like a piece of carpet over a cement floor, and then flush some more.
