12-09-2009, 12:00 AM. I will agree that an argon mix does run a little smoother than straight c02, but I cant say the difference is as immense as some make it out to be. In fact with a smaller machine used only for short arc transfer co2 would work quite fine and would produce better penetration and allow slightly thicker metals to be welded.

yep, like mac said, its all fine with C25 just strait Co2 and acetilean, need to be upright. the Co2 can be caried sideways then stood up and used almost right away, the acet. is the one with the fiber fill and needs to be alowed to set upright for atleast 3 Hrs befor use. the stand and settle time is a lil hazzy as the the exact time some say longer some say less depending on its sideways ...

2008年12月13日 · When I was in China setting up welding cells this year I found that ALL of their CO2 regulators were heated in order to keep the gas temperature high enough so that it wouldn't separate and start freezing. Sounds like a good idea until you find out that their gas dew point is -4 degrees F or -20 degrees C.

It has excellent puddle control due to the wire actually touching the base or the puddle to transfer the meltal. The arc can seem quite harsh if the parameters are not tuned together for a good shorting transfer.
