网页2012年1月25日 · When I was a kid we cracked them open with a rock and used them for catfish bait. I transplanted some freshwater mussels from the local river back in 97 to my pond. Enlarged it later that year, and even more, into an ~8 acre pond/lake in 2001. The mussels proliferated and 'colonized' the entire shoreline.

You should QT any rabbit with any color snot. Rarely it's something stuck in the nose or another bacteria, but unless you have it cultured and tested, safer gamble to cull it.

Don't eat it or feed it to animals. Feed wheat is allowed to have higher percentages of dust,dirt,chaf/straw and rodent dung than human wheat.

When the cotton is picked, some of the dead leaves are harvested with the cotton, and that goes in with the seed during the ginning process. I don't think I want my goats eating that. Learning new things daily.

Let the pods completely dry on the stalk. then take the largest pods. I usually store them in the pods and shell them out. in the spring when I am ready to plant.

Sheep are gentle grazers, in that they don't rip up grass like horses, and they fertilize while they graze. The key is regrowth of your pasture.

Rather that consuming "whole or cracked grains" provides health benefits compared to heavily processed human foods. Feeding whole grains in poultry has been shown to improve gut health, increase gizzard and crop size, and can decrease feed cost per dozen eggs. Jim
