The A/C in my house is broken, and ambient has been 85F or so the last couple days, and so the SDS100 has been running warmer than usual as a result.

First and foremost, the problem isn't actually a "cold" solder joint.The issue is that when the connector was originally soldered to the board, the 40 contact pins weren't touching the board, they were suspended slightly above the board.

HRO wouldn't send me another replacement. So after lots of advice from guys on here and Jon Wienke, I sent it to Jon for repair.

2021年12月17日 · I have two SDS100's, both of which came down with the cold solder joint problem. Jon fixed both of them, and both have stayed fixed, so far.
