aprazer402 Posts: 3,142. January 2018. I think I bought one item from DAK. A 1200 baud modem. I think modems were one of their big sellers. I bought one to use with a Televideo 950 dumb terminal. Just under a hundred bucks, I think. Probably a little earlier than 1987 but not much earlier. Hey it worked well.

The AM 441 was a "OEM" build for DAK Industries, c 1985. They apparently bought SAE very recently before releasing (or having SAE make, under contract) the AM441, It wasn't until I blew it up the second time (c1991) that I was put in touch, via snail mail, with a tech leftover from one of the previous companies.

What speakers do you regret letting go? I just got a new phone and was going through old pics. Found some of my JBL L80T that I recapped. I really wish I had kept them. I let them go for $400 a few years ago because I had a co worker who offered me his SDA SRS2.

I remember DAK Industries. I once bought a passive subwoofer from them. Huge thing. That was ages ago, I had no idea they were still in business. I might have bought some other stuff from them too, but don't remember what it was. It is a legitimate business, but don't believe everything you read, use some common sense.
