2013年6月28日 · Since I know the repercussions in humans using this type of nasal decongestant, I didn't know if it did the same thing to cats, which sounds like it does with the limit on duration of use. I have used certain OTC antihistamines in the past with my vet's approval, but they really don't seem to help much.

The active ingredient in this product is Phenylephrine which is not good to give to cats. DO NOT use this product on your cat,. The better thing to use is Benadryl at 1 mg per pound every 12 hrs. There is no true decongestant that I am comfortable using in cats. However, if these signs are related to allergies, you may see a response to a antihistamine. It may be worth trying Benedryl(diphenhydramine) at a dose if 1 mg/lb twice daily. There are other possible antihistamines, but this is a good place to start.
