These are not exact replacements as the original quill bearings were designed such that you could easily replace the quill with other designed for mortising or shaping, but for drill-only purposes these are suitable replacements.

It's Rockwell cat. no. 974, labeled as for 11 in and 14 in. Utility Drill Press. 14 inches long, 5/8 diameter, two keyways approx. 6 inches long starting at top, 180 degrees apart. Yard sale find.

2006年11月1日 · I need help removing the spindle from my Delta drill press. I've tried using the metal wedge tool to no avail. I've banged, banged and banged on it and it wont fall off. Am I doing something wrong? The round metal collar above the chuck does not have any screws or holes for a spanner wrench. I've tried turning it and it wont budge.

2012年12月3日 · On to the problem. As indicated, I have a DP220 (1948 manufacture if the numbers are correct) that has a problem with the run out of the drill bit. I am pretty sure that it is the chuck, specifically the jaws" that is creating the problem.

2024年3月24日 · Up for sale is a recently completed Delta DP-220 14” bench top drill press. Serial number is 55-4813 which dates it as 1947. It is a DP-220 head with high speed pulleys on both the motor and spindle. Measured speeds are 4980, 2444, 1258 and 650. Motor pulley has small chip in top step – does not interfere with function.
