2014年5月25日 · About the only thing I can say good about duct-board is that it seldom sweats in the crawl, whereas insulated metal will, and, it is easer when it comes to change-outs, lol. The standard in our area is round-pipe with flex leads and return. With the cost of metal not many want to pay the cost to have an all sheet-metal system put in.

2016年2月11日 · The silver side is used for a vapor retarder and radiant heat shield. On a return in a conditioned space, I wouldn't be too concerned with either. So, flipping it with the foil side in is fine. Just don't use tape on the inside, or it will dry out and get sucked into the blower. You'll have to glue the seams.
UV Light in duct board??? - HVAC-Talk

But when installing UV lights on existing systems, 99% of them are inch and a half ductboard, I assume this is better than one inch board when it comes to detioration from the UV light. I've never heard of UV lights to not be installed in ductboard. I've installed many in it.
