The tool your looking for is sweep. select the profile you drew for the profile, and the top edge of the ellispe shaped body for the path. attach a model for better help (file-export as .f3d-attach at bottom of post)

Sweep long curve along the short curves, both ways, has to be bigger than sketch 1, base ellipse. Extrude Sketch 1 ellipses, to object, (swept surface) Offset the Sweep surface down for the valleys and border. Extrude the valleys to Object (second surface) - join. Mirror body to other side, and Remove the 2 surfaces.

How to get rid of seam created by making a body with revolve?
10-24-2016 05:36 PM. Ok, I am having the same issue. I modeled a vase by sketching a surface and revolving it 360 degrees. Then when I print it, it leaves a visible seam running down the side of the object. I am a newbie to both Fusion 360 and 3D printing. If anyone has any thoughts on why and how to correct, I would greatly appreciate it.

2018年6月4日 · The "Revolve" command should, if a perfectly mirrored sketch, simply get on and do it! Especially if the option "Full" is selected. Another option could be to simply have an option that allows the sketch to be split by the axis selected at that stage, though having it in the sketch is probably better, logically.
