When booking your flight, please state the ages of your children, as the respective fares will be based on this. Lufthansa differentiates between two types of children’s fare: Infant fare: Babies (0-2 years) who do not occupy a seat travel free on German domestic flights and for 10 per cent of the regular fare on all other routes.

Children up to 2 years old (24 months), are not required to have their own seat. You must, however, inform Lufthansa that you will be traveling with an infant on your lap. Traveling on domestic German routes with babies is free of charge, on all other routes you must pay 10% of the applicable adult fare for the infant.
