We are excited to host the 2024 NADE National Training Conference in Oklahoma City. Presentations will be from the leading medical and psychological consultants, leadership from Social Security, and community based educational speakers.
The NADE Board has adopted specific criteria for certification of its members in three different categories: as a disability professional, disability support professional or disability medical consultant.
WHAT IS NADE? NADE is a professional organization for analysts, medical consultants, support staff, hearings officers, field office representatives, administrators, and managers involved in disability determination. Retirees are also welcome!
by Frank Giordano, Charter member of NADE, New Jersey. In 1963, a group of DDS directors meeting in Philadelphia founded the National Association of Disability Examiners (the generic name by which the organization is still known today) as a division of the National Rehabilitation Association (NRA).
Full memberships are for individuals directly involved in the disability decision-making process. This includes disability examiners, examiner supervisors, support professionals, administrators, medical or vocational consultants, or faculty members providing specific education in the field of disability determination.
The NADE Advocate is a quarterly publication of the National Association of Disability Examiners. Letters to the Editor are welcomed and may be selected for inclusion in future issues. Please forward ideas for future Advocate topics to the Editor.
