The Birding Year at the Netherfield Lagoons
2009年6月14日 · Mid-afternoon often sees a gathering of gulls loafing around the lagoon. The most common species is Black-headed Gull with much smaller numbers of Common Gull.
Netherfield Lagoons – A Local Nature Reserve. This walk is mainly designed for keen bird-lovers. Location – south of Netherfield, between the Victoria Retail Park and the Trent, reached by turning south off the Colwick Loop Road. istance – about 3 miles. Time – depends how long you want - non-stop 1 hour. Generally flat on good paths.

The two slurry pits are separated by a raised causeway, which is elevated some 50 feet (15 m) above the pits, giving a commanding view of the area.
