2010年11月8日 · Patch panel is just a way to manage your cables. it doesn't do anything. You can just use the router but if you need more than 4 ports you'll need a switch. Basically you would just plug the cables from the switch to the patch panel. Then plug the router into the switch.

From the face plates, either make, or buy pre made patch cables with the plugs on them, and connect from face plate to equipment, and then from patch panel to switch port. Does that help any?

2015年3月11日 · One easy test would be to jumper from the patch panel to LAN2 of the firewall (or LAN1 since it isn't working). The description of the switch is that it is an unmanaged switch so it can't be doing anything bad. One though would be to reboot a desktop to be sure that any stale info from the previous firewall is gone.
