2022年2月14日 · The logo is backlit using two Adafruit LED Backlight modules, powered from the 5V line to the Deepcool RGB strip next to it via some 330Ω resistors. This keeps the backlight consistent (i.e. white) when switching the rest of the case lighting from the Dark Base's front panel. Parts. CPU: 2x Intel Pentium II 400MHz.

2021年12月1日 · I believe it's the only emulator that can run 8088MPH. The drawback is of course performance. Depending on what software I'm running, I can emulate a Pentium 100MHz to a Pentium II 233MHz with my stock 7700k. If you want fast Windows 98 emulation you'll probably have better luck with Dosbox or QEmu.

The K6 FPU (floating point unit) is not fully pipelined and therefore much slower than the FPU in the Pentium II. The FPU is particularly important in a lot of games. In those days an AMD computer was significanty cheaper than a Pentium II. A K6-2 with 100 MHz FSB and AGP would be more comparable but still behind Intel.

Might try to Pentium II Overdrive 333 on the Socket 8 board. For some reason, I have weird issues with the Slot 1 PII board. I have a ~4.something GHz Sandy Bridge and a 3.5GHz Broadwell machine at my disposal, I can do some benchmarking tonight - but I don't remember getting slowdowns on a 333MHz PII OD CPU.

2021年2月22日 · Replacing my Pentium II 300MHz. My DOS/Windows 98SE machine for gaming has a Pentium II 300MHz. Looking at the service manual, it discusses setting the DIP switches on the motherboard for 366 MHz, 400 MHz, 433 MHz, 466 MHz, 500 MHz and 533 MHz (there are slower speeds as well).
