Any reason to avoid Petsmart's Top Fin glass aquariums?
2022年8月9日 · I purchased the 125gl from Petsmart, and it is correct, the stand is flimsy. I put 2x4 plastic wood into the base which lifts the tank 1/8", just enough to get the particle board off the ground. Epoxy all open particle board surfaces to waterproof them.

2014年3月8日 · My petsmart's pretty good and it's because it's got a couple employees who really know their aquariums. The guppy stock seems to have a consistent issue with columnaris but I can't be sure if that's petsmart's problem, their supplier, or a breed-related issue. Lesson to be learned is that within-store, there is variation too.

2016年12月13日 · I have to agree petsmart stands are cheaply made. Its not hard to build your own stand. There's plenty of DIY videos on you tube. I'd does however sound like a good deal. I just have a hard time trusting particle board tank stands that are expected to hold over 1000 lbs.

PetSmart's Top Fin 150 gallon is made by Marineland and the stand is identical to the 75 gallon Marineland ensemble stand, just the depth was stretched out to 24" versus 18". The build is the same, I've inspected them before.
