Pin brazing is an easy, metallurgically safe method of making electrical connections to steel and ductile iron pipelines as well as other metallic structures, which are to be cathodically protected or electrically earthed.
The brazing gun must be correctly adjusted with the correct pin and ferrule fitted. Locate the brazing pin so that the pin is in the centre of the hole in the cable lug. For vertical surfaces, the pin must be at the upper part of the hole in the cable lug.
