What printer is now without chips and without cartridge chips???

BUT (there is always a but): Having switched off the chip in your cartridge there is no way to keep an eye on the ink levels while they are in the printer.

2016年4月2日 · @fishy_design, Hang on a second, yes there is a safe way to do that, but only with the black colour cartridge. Put about 20 ml of any other colour ink into the MBK cartridge, you can use a mixture of colours if you wish, then disable the ink monitoring on that black cartridge and you can continue to finish out your print run.

Whether it does or not, unplug the printer from the wall and wait a minute. Then plug the printer back into the electrical outlet.

2017年1月24日 · Even if it is possible to print without all cartridges in place, I think it might ruin the print head and should be avoided. AFAIK the Brother printer uses a piezoelectric print head like Epson and might not need the cooling from ink, but Epson printers are sensitive to air bubbles in the print head. These bubbles are hard to get rid of.

2024年4月22日 · I have a printer ET-8500 and want to print documents in black and white but without using the photo black cartridge (114 PBK) and only use the classic black cartridge (114 BK). The 2 cartridges shrink when I print. Is there a setting for this? I have not found anything.

So my concern is if it is good to have high yield cartridges without use. If there are no problems please recommend compatible replacement toner cartridges. Please advice.

First Canon I can remember owning (at least in last 20 years), was a mostly happy Epson user but last WF printer finally bit the dust. One of the main reasons for going with the Mega Tank was the presumed ability to use 3rd party inks without cartridge "locks".

Previously, I have hp deskjet 3050 and I have bought a lot of refill inks for hp (4x black, 1x cyan, 1x magenta, 1x yellow). It just a generic brand ink bottles but the bottle says it is for hp cartridge.
