I make the hole, spray the bedding dirt and sides of the hole. Trap is bedded and the top edge of the hole is pounded against the trap jaws. Then I cover the trap in peatmoss and top dress with dry dirt.

The glycerine is very thick and sticky like honey or mollases and gets real stiff in extrememly cold weather. I am only trapping for several weeks before real deep freeze, but traps have been very good down to the teens above zero. Propylene glycol can be mixed with water too.
