You might just want to clean off what you can with a cloth and some WD40 because.....once you start cleaning/polishing your spokes, almost everybody ends up doing them ALL 'cause having a few shiny spots here and there looks almost as odd as a few rust spots.....and doing ALL the spokes is quite a bit of work.

2005年9月17日 · Do Not Wax the chrome. Use a good polish that leaves a residue coat on it or just keep polishing them. I also use "Motul" bike wash which helps degrease the road grime and it leaves a residue behind it states that "Helps" reduce rust. But I wouldn't depend solely on this. Go back and wax the painted parts and polish the chrome.

2007年6月17日 · no idea on how good "hamerite" is, but rust is a sponge that keeps water and crap in it. the only way to remove rust and keep it from spreading once again is to get it ALL off, 100%, every last trace you can, and then paint it with a good primer and color coat (tremclad would probably be just fine).

2008年3月4日 · A good chrome polish will get it off with a little work. I use simichrome, and I have hit my pipe more than once with my boot. If it is really giving you a hard time, use your fingernail with a rag - meaning put the rag over your thumb, put on some polish and scrub with your nail.

2005年10月13日 · I do this about once per week. It takes about 15-20 seconds. No rust at all on my bikes, not even the dual sports. The front tire on the DR650 kicked up a large rock about 2 months ago, that left a chip on the frame. With the quick waxing, there is still no rust at the chip site. I use Meguiar's Quik Wax.

2008年4月24日 · Rust I restore antique m/c and the best (IMO) is the kit from POR 15. It has a step by step procedure and a tank coat to eliminate any further rust. Waaay better than Kreem. It works very well in my customers bikes that have been abused for over 70 years. Search for POR 15 and order the Kit specifically for Motorcycles.
