after-market non OEM batteries for DeWalt - worthwhile?
2015年5月6日 · In the case of the Dewalt 18 volt packs they are ni-cad batteries & not li-ion. I just bought 4 of these packs from fle-bay so cannot tell you anything much about them yet. But look at it this way, 10 to 1 the OEM probably uses cells from china which is where these come from only no Dewalt label on them.

Basically that works for every brands that has adopted "the 20v battery Strategy", I mentioned dewalt just cause its the brand that I use , 20v nominal batteries are practically 18v.

2010年9月22日 · I have two XRP drills with the big heavy batteries. I have another drill a non (929) XRP. I have been mixing the batteries for at least 4 years. The chargers are all the same model number. The XRP drill is a 987. I wouldn't worry about it. These chargers are designed to adapt to most of the DeWalt line of batteries.

Myself I'm not impressed with lithium ion, I used to use a 18v dewalt drill all day with one battery with Nicad batteries. When the batteries wore out it was about as cheap to replace the drill so I got a 20v dewalt with lithium ion batteries.

2014年4月3日 · Yea the batteries cost more than the tool is worth. Someone gave me a dewalt cordless drill last summer that was hardly used. I checked into buying batteries for it and they cost more than the same size drill which included the lithium batteries. I would rather trash the tool then sell it to someone that might get mad.

DeWalt does offer a plunge base for the compact router, but it's not included, I would need to purchase it separately. The 1.75 HP router comes with a plunge base.

2019年8月25日 · There are many different replacement knives (blades) for the DeWalt DW735 planer. DeWalt sells their own DW7352 knives, but there are many third-party knives available at lower cost. DeWalt's DW7352 knives don't get great reviews, so I wonder whether third-party knives might be better, or at least a better value.
