WEBAug 26, 2021 · I'd like to hear what tow vehicles you all are using for 5th wheels between 30 - 33 feet? Also, has anyone had any towing capacity issues with a similar truck mentioned below, in regards to the size RV I'm considering? I have a 2020 Ford F 250 7.3 liter Gas 8 foot bed, 4x4, crew cab being delivered in a little over a week.

WEBJun 8, 2019 · It really depends on how old you find acceptable, luxury level, and price range. Adding base plates, braking system, tail light wiring, etc. will cost you at least $1,000 with DIY install and buying a lightly used relatively new braking system, new and pro install will run $2,500+.

A 'trailer hitch' is used for towing a travel trailer. If it doesn't have a hitch there is probably a reason for that. Everything I can find online says it can tow between 2000# and 2500#. RV Trader (www.rvt.com) the RV sales site has a category called "tow behind cars" that lists quite a few toads for sale. Perhaps the other RV sales sites have similar categories.

WEBMar 10, 2024 · My disconnect time is maybe 2 minutes. I added a latch on the base plate to swing the tow bar up off the bitch (sorry, typo) hitch ball and lock it a vertical position on the car. I just unplug the tow brakes and lights, undo the safety chains, raise the tow bar off the hitch ball, lock the tow bar up in the vertical position, and park the car.

Flat Tow Vehicles? Opinion? esp Ford Fiesta-Focus autos
WEBJan 19, 2017 · I know this is an older thread - but we flat tow a 2011 Honda fit automatic (going on its 7th year) and it has been great. no special treatment just a simple 10 second procedure and she's good to go. Been across country 5 times absolutely no problems. its fairly comfortable and with back seat down has tons of room - Just a thought

WEBJan 16, 2022 · The confusion is that I've been checking out other vehicles for the next tow vehicle and I don't think I need anything beyond 1/2 ton for the size of the rv. Then I check out the numbers for some of the vehicles, say F150 and a toss up between the 3.5 and 5.0 engine and I'm more confused.

WEBOct 31, 2020 · Welcome. Dry weight doesn?t mean much. You need to know the gross vehicle weight of the RV. What is it going to weigh when all your stuff is in it. Plus, how much stuff will be in the tow vehicle. You also want a safety net of about 20% which comes to about 1700 lbs. so figure on your tow weight of around 6900 pounds.
