2021年1月11日 · Most companies have slowed down or stopped producing new DVDs over the past few years. Sentai has actually discontinued DVDs entirely, with a couple exceptions here and there. Funimation only includes DVDs for shows whose past seasons also got DVD releases, and have re-released most of their catalog in DVD-less Classic and Essentials releases.

2020年12月10日 · The only ways to support Sentai are to buy their Blu-ray/DVD releases and Subscribe to Hidive. There is nothing else fans can do. Their future also depends on what happens to VRV and Crunchyroll itself since they also distribute their anime through them.

Honestly, with how much of Sentai's library they've put up onto HiDIVE in streaming and how fans want higher quality I'm not totally surprised. I'm paying $4 a month right now for better than DVD quality, comes down just to the idea of ownership vs. renting media if you're watching through legal means.

Take this paragraph with a grain of salt, its something that COULD happen but has not happened as of yet. Also, if you plan on ordering a bunch of Sentai products, I'd advise ordering from the Sentai store.
What Sentai Filmwork's Anime that Deserves an English Dub?
2023年5月6日 · I was kinda disappointed of Sentai decision of choosing dubs recently, it seems that it was clear that everything they license that wasn't get a DUBCAST, especially if the anime was a Slice of Life, Moe, Romance or Shojo always had no chance of getting an english dub in Home Media Release and they rarely go back and dub any sub-only anime like they used to.
